Formatting a DMA document or PhD dissertation can be an exercise in frustration and feel like an irritating obstacle to finishing your degree. I can help you clear this hurdle and make sure your research looks its best.
I can review your footnotes and bibliographic entries (or inline citations and reference list) to ensure that they conform with your university or school's preferred style guide.
Writing about music can involve musical examples and specialized symbols. Fortunately for you, I have experience with formatting music research, including the use of specialized fonts that allow you to include musical symbols (including accidentals, scale degrees, chord symbols, time signatures, and more) within your text.
If you need help with substantive editing (developing your argument, clarifying your prose), I can work with you on that, too. This will require more time than formatting services to allow for revision and reworking.
If your dissertation, thesis, or other document is rejected because of a formatting error, I will make it right for no charge as quickly as possible.
Theses, dissertations, and documents can vary widely in length, content matter, and structure, and as such, I cannot offer a flat rate fee as I do with proposals. My base rate for formatting is $40 per hour, which includes a turnaround time of a week from when I received your files. If I am editing your content and argument, expect a longer collaborative project. There will be an additional rush fee if you need your final document sooner. I will send you an estimate based on the approximate size and complexity of your document after you submit the form below.
